Regional training
Two regional-level trainings were held during the project. The first took place in Vranje in September 2023, focusing on gender equality and anti-discrimination. The second was held in Skopje in December 2023, dedicated to peer education.
National Trainings
Eight national trainings were organised across four partner countries, led by young people who had previously attended the regional trainings in 2023. With support from expert trainers, these peer-led sessions exceeded expectations, doubling the planned number of participants. The focus was on anti-discrimination, gender equality, and peer education, resulting in a new generation of peer educators ready to lead future workshops.
Local Trainings
After the national phase, peer trainers facilitated 18 local trainings in municipalities across Serbia, Kosovo*, and North Macedonia. Each session engaged over 20 young participants, equipping them with tools to prevent gender-based violence, foster equality, and become active changemakers in their communities. Specialised manuals supported peer-to-peer learning and ensured long-term impact.
Local On-Field Workshops
After local trainings, 27 workshops were held in 9 municipalities across Serbia, Kosovo*, and North Macedonia. Mixed-gender teams of peer trainers led the sessions, working with young people, schools, local NGOs, and institutions to identify community needs related to peacebuilding, gender equality, and anti-discrimination.
National and Sub-regional Networks
One sub-regional and three national informal networks were launched in Serbia, North Macedonia, and Kosovo*. Their focus includes peacebuilding, gender equality, anti-discrimination, prevention of gender-based violence, and youth empowerment.
