The project aims at strengthening the role of local Roma NGOs in community development through initiation of partnerships between local NGOs, schools, youth activists, local authorities in five municipalities of South Serbia and factories for recycling PET and aluminium materials. Sustainable environment protection cycle will be established through training, campaign to collect PET and aluminium bottles and tins, selling them to the factories and then supervising local Roma NGOs in using the obtained resources for development of future activities related to the environment protection in the respective local communities in Bujanovac, Vranje, Surdulica, Vladicin Han and Vlasotince. Five chosen municipalities are among the poorest in the country and this project will provide incentive for further partnerships with business sector and joint future activities.

At the same time, the project will provide practical hands-on training for the local NGOs in financial management of the funds, ways to acquire funds and financial sustainability.
